A beautiful vintage Mulberry Tetbury, made in England in the house’s wonderfully tactile black Congo leather — a deeply textured, crocodile-effect leather that gives this classic Mulberry shape so much character.
The Tetbury has a softly structured, curved silhouette with long leather handles designed to sit comfortably over the shoulder, a full zip closure and the signature Mulberry Tree embossed to the front. Inside is the fabulous traditional Mulberry tartan lining, complete with an internal zipped pocket.
This is exactly the kind of vintage Mulberry I love finding. Understated, beautifully made and instantly recognisable to someone who knows the brand, without relying on obvious logos.
The bag is in very good vintage condition, with the leather remaining beautifully supple and the embossed finish well defined. There are light signs of previous wear consistent with its age.
The Tetbury is now a discontinued vintage Mulberry design, and examples in Congo leather have become increasingly sought after by collectors of the brand.
