A beautiful pair of vintage Limoges porcelain earrings featuring deep cobalt blue centres decorated with intricate gold classical scenes. Each porcelain cabochon is framed by an ornate gold-tone setting, giving the earrings a wonderfully rich, decorative finish.
The miniature scenes have the distinctive romantic, neoclassical character associated with Limoges decorative porcelain, with the intense cobalt ground making the gilded detail particularly striking. The reverse of each porcelain insert is marked Limoges France.
Finished with comfortable clip-on fastenings, these are a lovely example of vintage French costume jewellery.
In very good vintage condition with minor signs of previous wear consistent with age.
