Such a beautiful vintage KENZO floral, with oversized painterly peonies scattered across the prettiest powder-blue ground.
The design is filled with large peony blooms in soft ivory, blush and lavender, surrounded by deep grey-green foliage. Fine cream and olive lines create a simple geometric border around the flowers, while the KENZO signature is printed in gold in one corner.
Made from lightweight 100% cotton, the fabric is wonderfully soft and fine, giving it an almost sheer quality when worn. The original KENZO Japanese label remains attached, making this an especially lovely vintage find. Japanese-market KENZO handkerchiefs from this period were produced in this lightweight cotton format and designed as beautifully decorative little squares rather than purely functional handkerchiefs.
Originally produced as a square handkerchief, it works beautifully worn as a neckerchief, tied in the hair or wrapped around the handle of a favourite handbag. The powder blue, lavender and ivory palette is particularly gorgeous.
