A beautiful vintage jade bangle in an unusual wash of warm honey yellow, amber and creamy ivory.
Carved from a single continuous piece of stone, the bangle has a smooth rounded profile and beautiful natural variation throughout. Its colour gradually shifts from soft milky cream into golden yellow and deeper honey, with areas of translucency and tiny natural-looking inclusions visible within the stone.
The bangle was acquired as part of a collection identified as jade and is cold and substantial to the touch, consistent with natural stone. It has not been independently gemologically tested, so no attribution is made as to whether the jade is nephrite or jadeite.
A particularly lovely vintage bangle, with the tonal variation making it quite different from the more commonly seen green jade.
