An absolutely stunning vintage handbag in natural brown and cream cowhide, beautifully finished with rich chocolate-brown leather and polished gold-tone hardware.
The natural hide is particularly gorgeous on this one, with wonderfully irregular brown markings against a creamy white ground — completely unique to the bag. Its clean, structured silhouette is finished with a rigid leather-covered frame and elegant curved top handle, giving it that fabulous ladylike shape associated with mid-century handbags.
The gold-tone frame opens to reveal a beautifully preserved satin-lined interior with multiple compartments and pockets. The chocolate leather gussets and handle are equally lovely, and the substantial frame allows the bag to hold its shape beautifully.
She is in exceptional vintage condition — almost pristine. The cowhide remains beautifully clean and plush, the leather is excellent, the structure is crisp and the interior has been remarkably well preserved. There are only very minor signs of age and previous handling to the hardware and finishes. Please refer closely to the photographs for condition.
