A beautiful vintage Christian Dior neckerchief in the prettiest intricate floral print, with a wonderfully delicate, almost hand-drawn quality.
Made from 100% cotton, the ivory ground is scattered with tiny florals and curling botanical motifs in red, mustard, soft blue-grey, olive and brown. A patterned olive border frames the design, finished with a contrasting deep red edge that picks up the little red flowers throughout.
The Christian Dior signature is printed in one corner, and the original Japanese label remains attached, confirming the fabric as 100% cotton. The handkerchief-sized square is perfect worn as a neckerchief, tied in the hair or wrapped around the handle of a favourite handbag.
There is a small area of colour run/ink bleed beside one of the red floral motifs, as pictured. It is relatively discreet amongst the busy floral print but has been noted for accuracy. Otherwise, the scarf presents beautifully for its vintage age.
