A gorgeous little slice of Louis Vuitton history! This beautiful vintage Compiegne 23 dates all the way back to January 1986 and is a fabulous example of classic Louis Vuitton from the 1980s.
Made in France, the Compiegne features the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas, complemented by beautiful honey-coloured vachetta leather trim and a structured rectangular silhouette. Originally designed as a clutch or travel pouch, it makes a fabulous little handbag for everyday use or an evening out.
The bag features a full zip closure, an exterior slip pocket and a beautiful original tan leather interior. We absolutely love the rich colour of the leather lining, which has aged beautifully over the past 40 years.
Measuring approximately 23 cm wide, 15.5 cm high and 6 cm deep, it’s a lovely practical size for carrying your everyday essentials.
Condition: Good vintage condition, especially considering its age. The Monogram canvas is in lovely condition, while the vachetta leather is also well preserved, with a few marks and signs of wear consistent with age. The zipper has lost much of its original brass plating, revealing the silver-coloured metal underneath. The interior is particularly beautiful, retaining its original leather lining in lovely condition with some light signs of use.
