This is such a special Louis Vuitton — the rare Alma Monogram Eclipse Sequins PM, from Louis Vuitton’s Autumn/Winter 2009–10 collection. A fabulous collector’s version of the iconic Alma, it takes the classic Monogram canvas and completely transforms it with intricate sequin embroidery.
The traditional brown Monogram is overlaid with bronze and gold-tone sequins, individually tracing the LV initials and floral motifs and giving the entire bag a beautiful shimmer. The contrast with the smooth black leather is gorgeous, while oversized polished metal rings, gold-tone studs and beautifully knotted double handles give it an unmistakably late-2000s Louis Vuitton look.
Even the smaller details are special, right down to the oversized black leather zip pulls finished with polished Louis Vuitton Paris plaques. It is extravagant and unusual, but still unmistakably LV.
And the condition is exceptional — almost pristine. The canvas and sequin embroidery are beautifully preserved with virtually no visible wear. The black leather remains gorgeous, the hardware is bright and polished, and the interior is beautifully clean. It is remarkable to find one of these in such lovely condition.
