A beautiful early vintage Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille PM, one of those wonderfully practical old Louis Vuitton designs that has only become better with age.
Made with the classic Monogram coated canvas with natural vachetta leather trim, the Jeune Fille has a compact crossbody shape with an adjustable leather shoulder strap, zipped main compartment and the distinctive buckled front pocket. There is also a slip pocket across the back.
This is an older example, made in France, with the details you want to see on a well-aged vintage Louis Vuitton — rich honeyed vachetta, yellow stitching and beautifully aged brass hardware. The Monogram canvas remains in very good condition and the leather has developed a deep, warm patina with darker areas and general signs of age and use.
The lining inside the front pocket has peeled with age, which is common on Louis Vuitton bags of this era. This is contained inside the pocket, is not visible when the bag is being carried and does not affect its wearability. Otherwise, she remains a lovely and very usable vintage bag.
A genuinely old Louis Vuitton with loads of character — the kind of beautifully aged Monogram bag that simply cannot be replicated by a newer example.
