A classic vintage Louis Vuitton Marly Dragonne GM, a beautifully practical clutch crafted in the house’s iconic Monogram canvas with natural vachetta leather trim.
Designed with a detachable wrist strap, top zip closure and a long zipped pocket across the front. The structured rectangular shape is wonderfully understated and makes it an easy clutch or travel companion, with enough room for considerably more than your average evening bag.
This example is in very good vintage condition and exceptionally clean for its age. The Monogram canvas remains beautifully preserved and the interior is clean and well cared for. The vachetta leather has developed a deep, rich and remarkably even patina, particularly around the corners and front zip trim. There is general age-related wear to the leather and hardware, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the bag.
A particularly lovely example of this now-discontinued Louis Vuitton style, with the kind of deep vachetta patina that only comes with age.
Date code TH 0960 dates the bag to June 1990, made in France.
