A fabulous Gucci Hysteria bag from the Frida Giannini era, dating to the late 2000s. Introduced in 2008, the Hysteria collection is one of Gucci’s wonderfully distinctive designs from this period, recognised by its vintage-inspired Gucci crest and bold gold-tone detailing.
This compact Boston-style version is finished in beige and ebony GG Crystal canvas with chocolate brown leather trim and contrast stitching. Crystal canvas was Gucci’s glossy, coated reinterpretation of its classic GG monogram canvas, introduced during this period to give the traditional fabric an almost patent-like finish.
The bag is finished with double leather handles, gold-tone hardware and a particularly fabulous oversized bow detail to the front. Hanging beneath is the distinctive Gucci Hysteria crest charm, one of the signatures of the collection.
Condition: The bag remains very clean and presents beautifully overall, with the leather trim and hardware still in good condition. Please note that the Crystal coating is lifting/peeling along areas of the seams and edges, which is clearly visible in the photographs. The underlying canvas remains intact. This condition has been fully taken into consideration and the bag is priced accordingly.
