A fabulous vintage Gucci shoulder bag from the Gucci Accessory Collection, combining the house’s classic GG monogram with warm tan leather and the iconic green and red Web stripe.
The rectangular silhouette has such a great old-school Gucci look, with an adjustable leather shoulder strap, gold-tone hardware and a practical zipped pocket across the front. I particularly love the little GG turn-lock detail sitting above the zip and the Web stripe running vertically through the centre.
Inside, the original leather label is stamped “Gucci Accessory Collection – Made in Italy”, dating the bag to approximately the early 1980s. The Accessory Collection was introduced around 1979 and has become a particularly recognisable era of vintage Gucci, known for its GG monogram, Web stripe and gold-tone detailing. The warm tan leather has developed beautifully and works perfectly against the neutral GG monogram.
In great vintage condition overall, particularly for its age. The exterior has been beautifully preserved, with light signs of previous wear to the leather and hardware. The interior does show some age-related wear, as pictured, but this does not affect the use or functionality of the bag.
