Such a gorgeous vintage Louis Vuitton. The Ellipse is one of those wonderfully distinctive older LV designs, with its unusual curved silhouette giving it a completely different look from the more familiar Monogram styles.
Finished in classic Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas with natural vachetta leather piping and rolled top handles, the bag has a beautifully structured shape with a double zip closure and gold-tone hardware. I particularly love the large curved panels and the way the vachetta outlines the silhouette — it really shows off the shape of the bag.
This one is in excellent vintage condition. The Monogram canvas remains rich and beautifully preserved, while the vachetta has developed a lovely warm, even honey patina. The handles present beautifully, the piping and corners are remarkably good, and the interior is exceptionally clean. There are only light signs of previous use consistent with age.
