The Chantilly has a distinctive rounded saddle silhouette with a curved flap, central natural vachetta leather strap and buckle closure, finished with an adjustable shoulder strap. The Monogram canvas remains beautifully rich and defined, while the vachetta has developed a gorgeous warm honey patina that only comes with age.
This is a wonderfully easy vintage Louis Vuitton to wear — compact and elegant, with that unmistakable 1970s/80s equestrian-inspired shape that makes the older Chantilly bags so charming.
It is in beautiful vintage condition overall. The canvas presents exceptionally well and the vachetta has aged to a lovely even colour. There is some wear to the shoulder strap, including slight surface cracking consistent with age, but importantly there are no breaks or structural damage and the strap remains fully usable.
