A vintage Louis Vuitton briefcase in the house’s iconic Monogram canvas, finished with natural Vachetta leather trim and brass-tone hardware. The structured design has a large envelope-style flap, buckle fastening and a leather top handle, with the original detachable shoulder strap allowing it to be carried crossbody or over the shoulder.
The Vachetta leather has developed a lovely warm honey-brown patina with age, giving the bag plenty of character while the Monogram canvas remains in good condition. The detachable strap is also included and shows a similarly rich patina.
The bag is in good vintage condition overall. There are signs of age and use consistent with a vintage Louis Vuitton bag, and the fabric lining to the inside of the flap has some marks and discolouration, as pictured. The date code reads SL0974.
