A true Louis Vuitton classic — the vintage Alma PM in the house’s iconic Monogram canvas, finished with natural vachetta leather and gold-tone hardware.
The Alma is one of those beautifully recognisable Louis Vuitton shapes, with its structured domed silhouette, double rolled leather handles and full double-zip opening. This vintage example has developed a lovely warm honey patina to the vachetta, giving it exactly the character I love in an older Louis Vuitton.
The Monogram canvas remains in great condition, and the interior is lovely and clean. The hardware has also been particularly well preserved and remains beautifully shiny, including the zips and handle fittings.
Please do take note of the condition of the vachetta. There are some darker marks and areas of discolouration along the leather edging and base, as clearly pictured, together with the expected signs of age and use. The handles and leather trim also show the natural patina expected of a vintage bag. I’ve photographed these areas closely so you can see exactly what you’re getting.
Despite these cosmetic signs of wear, this is still a beautiful, very wearable vintage Alma and a great deal for someone wanting an authentic Louis Vuitton classic without the price tag of a pristine example. The clean interior, excellent canvas and shiny hardware are definite highlights.
