A beautiful long strand of genuine freshwater baroque pearls in alternating creamy ivory and deep peacock tones. The darker pearls flash shades of charcoal, aubergine, petrol blue and green in the light, giving the necklace a slightly moodier, more modern feel than a traditional all-white pearl strand.
Each pearl is individually knotted, as higher quality pearl strands traditionally are, allowing the necklace to drape beautifully while also protecting the pearls from rubbing against one another. The pearls are organically shaped with natural irregularities and lustre throughout, which adds to the character and confirms their authenticity.
This is a continuous strand with no clasp, designed to slip comfortably over the head. It can be worn long, doubled up, or layered with other chains and pearls. The mix of ivory and peacock pearls gives it a very effortless late-90s/early-2000s luxury feel — elegant but not overly formal.
A really lovely piece for someone who prefers pearls with a bit more personality than the classic perfectly matched strand.
