The leather is buttery soft and in beautiful shape, and the structure is solid.

The interior quilting of this vintage Chanel has disintegrated over time—a common issue with older Chanel bags, especially those from the 1990s where the padded structure was made with delicate materials. The breakdown has occurred between the two layers of leather, so nothing flakes or falls out, and it doesn’t affect how the bag wears or looks when used. It’s only noticeable if you squeeze the leather and feel the softness underneath which doesn’t affect wear but can be felt when gently pressed.
The belt is not original to the bag but fits well and is fully adjustable.
Because of these two points—the non-original belt and the internal quilting—we’ve priced this piece lower than typical market value. It’s still a rare and wearable Chanel collector’s item with unmistakable early-‘90s charm.
