This fabulous design is often referred to by vintage collectors as the Céline Gancini or Gemini Box Bag. It has a wonderfully structured, elegant shape, with a distinctive double-flap design and a beautiful gold-tone horseshoe-style clasp. The curved leather top handle is attached with substantial gold hardware, giving the bag such a sophisticated, classic look.
I absolutely love the simplicity of this design. The leather is beautifully smooth with a lovely soft sheen, and the gold hardware is a real standout. It is the kind of vintage handbag that looks just as fabulous today as it did over 30 years ago!
The interior is equally beautiful, with a lovely leather lining, multiple compartments and a zipped pocket featuring the original gold-tone Céline charm. Such a gorgeous little detail!
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The leather is beautifully preserved, with some light surface scratches and marks consistent with its age. These are mostly superficial and do not detract from the overall appearance of the bag. The gold-tone hardware is absolutely beautiful, retaining a lovely bright, shiny finish with minimal signs of wear. The interior is also in lovely vintage condition, with some light signs of use.
