An incredibly cool and genuinely collectible pair of 1980s Gianni Versace suede trousers in the most beautiful earthy olive tone. These have that dramatic exaggerated Versace silhouette of the era — high waisted with deep pleating through the hips, a softly ballooned upper leg, and fitted lower leg panels finished with suede-covered buttons and corduroy trim details.
The design on these is honestly exceptional. The lower leg panels can be styled multiple ways depending on how you button and fold them, giving them that slightly military, equestrian, bohemian feel that early Versace did so well. The integrated suede and corduroy belt detail at the waist is also such a strong design feature and gives them that effortless slouchy fit when worn.
Made from beautifully soft suede with the kind of construction and cut that immediately feels expensive and considered. These are the sort of archival vintage trousers that fashion people lose their minds over now — dramatic but still incredibly wearable with a simple tank, oversized knit, or boots.
One of the suede-covered buttons has unfortunately lost its suede covering, as noted in the photos, but otherwise they remain an exceptionally special and hard-to-find piece. Similar pairs have sold internationally from around R5000 and up.
