This is a Coach Poppy Berry Tartan Plaid Shoulder Bag, from the late 2000s Poppy era — when Coach was experimenting with colour, print, and a more playful, fashion-led direction.
Done in a saturated berry-toned tartan with oversized tonal signature Cs woven through the plaid, it’s one of those pieces that shouldn’t work but absolutely does. The mix of pattern and logo feels very specific to that moment in fashion — a little bit preppy, a little bit Y2K, and now firmly back in rotation if you know what you’re looking at.
The silhouette is classic small shoulder bag — slim, slightly curved, easy under the arm — with black patent leather trim and strap, silver-tone hardware, and the round Coach plaque front and centre. It also comes with the longer detachable strap, so you can wear it crossbody if you want to lean more casual.
Inside is that signature bright pink satin lining from the Poppy line, with zip pocket and slip compartments. Lightweight, easy, and actually practical despite the size.
Condition is good vintage. The fabric exterior is clean with no major flaws. There is visible wear and light pitting to the hardware, particularly on the rings, and minor wear to the patent trim. Interior is clean and well kept.
This is very much a collector’s piece for anyone who understands that specific Coach era — bold but still considered, and far more interesting than the standard monogram options.
